Plume

Terms of use

Last updated: September 16, 2026 · Applies to Plume 1.0.0 and later versions (Android).

This translation is provided for your convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

1. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern the use of the Plume mobile app, published by Accolades SAS (contact: apps@accolades.io). Installing or using the app means you accept these terms.

2. Description of the service

Plume is a local app with no account, sold as a one-time purchase on Google Play (no subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads). It lets a parent create audio stories from printed books (photos of the pages and a recording of their voice), and lets a child listen to them independently. No data is sent to the publisher (see the privacy policy).

3. Private family use

Plume is designed for personal use, within your family. Any public, collective or commercial use of the stories you create is excluded.

4. Your content and copyright

In short: Plume is for telling your books to your children, not for republishing books.

5. Intellectual property of the app

The app (code, design, mascot, the name “Plume”) is protected. The open-source components used are listed in the app's credits with their respective licenses.

6. Price, refunds and warranties

Plume is sold as a one-time purchase at the price shown on Google Play in your country at the time of purchase, including applicable taxes. Purchase, billing and refunds are handled by Google Play under its terms. The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher's liability is limited to the amount paid for the app, and the publisher cannot be held liable for damage resulting from its use, in particular loss of content or use of content in breach of section 4. Nothing in these terms limits the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

7. Children's safety

Lock mode (screen pinning) and the PIN are supervision aids, not an absolute guarantee: depending on the device and Android version, a child may in some cases turn off screen pinning. An adult remains responsible for the child and the device during use. Playback volume is limited by the parental settings.

8. Personal data

Data processing is described in the privacy policy. In short: everything stays on your devices, nothing is sent.

9. Changes and end of the service

The publisher may change the app or stop distributing it at any time. Since your data is stored only locally, an app that is already installed keeps working without depending on any online service.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings before the competent courts of that country where the law allows. If you have a problem, please contact the publisher first: apps@accolades.io.

11. Languages

These terms are available in several languages for your convenience. In case of any discrepancy between versions, the French version prevails, subject to the mandatory provisions of the law of your country.
